0:42.5	And this one was sort of unexpected when we did the horror author series where we talked to a series of horror authors on the show.
0:51.8	I got invited to sort of a release weekend, a release
0:56.1	weekend party for Chris Golden's new book, which is called The House of Last Resort, which, by the way,
1:02.4	got a nice write up in the New York Times three days ago. And so the House of Last Resort,
1:07.4	they had this little party in Porthmouth, New Hampshire. And Chris asked me if I wanted to come. And I was like, of course, because I just wanted to meet him in person. He was so nice during the series. And so, and it turned out there was a conglomeration of, like, amazing authors there that I could fan girl out to. If you can turn fan girl into a verb, please don't be too disgusted with me. And I asked Chris if it would be okay to get a room full of
1:29.3	writers together. And so this podcast came about because of that. Well, if you'll allow me to
1:34.9	interject a word here, since we're now about 17 minutes into the podcast. First of all, Chris
1:41.6	Golden was the centerpiece for this conference in New Hampshire.
1:45.2	Second of all, Chris Golden is not with us.
1:47.4	He's not.
1:47.9	The reason is he was supposed to be on Katie's panel, but he got sick.
1:52.0	But she had three terrific writers that she'll tell you about in a minute if she lets me in again.
1:56.7	And it is sort of a different podcast of the bookcase with Kate and Charlie because it is the bookcase hits the road. Kate went to Port Smith, New Hampshire, and they invited her to host one of the panels with four prominent writers at the conference and then Chris got sick.
