Hey everybody, welcome to Battleground Live and I guess we're off to a good start because I unmuted myself and I'm able to talk and I hope that you can hear me so

I'm off on the right foot and I gotta tell you after 22 days Republicans finally finally elected a speaker of the House in the

House is back in business ladies ladies and gentlemen.

And I gotta say, Mike Johnson,

who is the brand new speaker of the House,

is 51 years old.

I think he's been in Congress for seven years from Louisiana. He's good. I like him. He gets my dab of

approval, my stamp of approval. He's conservative. You know, Mike is, I don't

actually know him well and you you know, as you know, I know lots of people down there,

but I don't actually know him well, but he has an incredible reputation for being a very strict,

rigorous constitutional conservative.

He's a lawyer, he's pro-life, he's America First,

he's a Trump fan.

He opposes, and this is so important to me, but he opposes sending unaccounted billions to Ukraine.

So at this point in time in my life life I think just so haven't believed that we should not be

spending hundreds of billions of dollars on Ukraine and a war with no end in sight

that seems to be and will be for the next decade in a perpetual stalemate.

He opposes that, preferring instead to spend that money if we have to spend it at all right here

at home. This is a guy that served on the Judiciary

Committee and the Armed Services Committee, which of course I like that.
