I want to welcome everybody to the Street Preachers Podcast, and I wonder is my DC DMV Street Team in the house tonight. Come on, make some noise.

What an honor and a privilege it is to be in our nation's capital with some of our family and going through the Word of God, talking about something

that both me and my brother Phil think is important for the season and the time that we're in.

Our nation is in turmoil.

Our country is in chaos.

There is a pressure and attention that we are seeing and experiencing right now that needs a move of God.

And so tonight what we want to do is look at Scripture and go through Scripture and see how it applies to our lives, our nation, and the world right now.

And so we're going to have a conversation tonight and talk about suffering and talk about joy and

talk about suffering well.

And so, Phil.

Yeah, and one of the things you were saying to me earlier is that even as we flew in tonight

for our nation's capital, we know that there is a government shutdown right now.

We know that there are workers who are not receiving pay right now

there are people right now who are suffering yeah yeah and you was you was talking to me about

that in the back um it was really heavy on your heart unpack that for us just a little bit yeah just

where we are um in three days if something does not change uh there will be a shortage of governmental funding for those who need food from the government.

Millions of people will be impacted.

And with that comes hopelessness, with that comes great physical need, but also a great emotional and mental turmoil. And so what we

want to do is utilize moments like this, nights like this in the presence of God and go through

scripture to see what the word of God says about these moments in time because he doesn't leave us without his word.
