We're at Stateside Live for the Red October Rale. Jack Fritz, James Seltzer, guys. It is your time of the year. It's our time of the year. It's our time of the year. How are we doing? How are we feeling today? Let's just address the elephant in the room.

1:26.8

Very well put together video by Tommy Marlowe, but I'm not a big game voice guy.

1:31.8

Well, that was the question I had for everyone. Was that a big game boy? No, I'm not a hype video guy. You know, it's like if Seltzer was a hype video guy. Yeah, I was about saying, look, I'm not one to talk.

1:40.3

I think we all know I don't have a big game, a hype video voice,

1:43.1

but that was absolutely not what I'm needing when I'm hearing a big game, you know, hype type of, I mean, like, man. A whole bit is calm down. You got to match the moment. I tried to match the moment. Yeah, well. Now, did you, like, how did that, when you did it, did you see the video or you just were asked to read the lines? No, I just read the lines. But I try to play it up a little bit. Yeah, if you saw the video, maybe you can go get into it. Did you see the video or you just were asked to read the lines? No, I just read the lines.

2:01.4

But I tried to play it up a little bit. Yeah. If you saw the video, maybe you can go

2:04.4

and get into the moment. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Here, what did you think of Jack's voice in the hype video? I thought he did a really good job. Oh, that's a lie. That is a bold face lie. If Jack weren't sitting here, you definitely wouldn't say it.

2:14.7

I would definitely.

2:16.1

I thought it wasn't bad.

2:17.3

I thought it was fine.

2:18.2

I would say it was a B-minus effort.

2:20.9

A B-minus effort a b-mine okay wasn't a failure that's fair wasn't great when i first saw it i thought it was the official so did i joe i was like i was like that's a big moment for jack i was like how did jack not tell me that he's doing this like he's just what what the hell like i figure we get like a text of a moment he was asked turns out not the philly's one yes that next year i did like it i mean it was a good video oh unbelievable yeah all right guys just a b minus snare it's we can give you b it was all you did a good job i wouldn't well he was an easy grader sometimes yeah sometimes we're. We grade on curves here. Yeah, we do.

2:52.7

All right, it is our high hope segment here.

By the way, Trey Turner is going to join the show at 1130 today. We'll talk to him about getting ready for the series, and hopefully that hamstring is ready to go for Saturday. All right, guys, let's just start with this. How are we feeling? I mean, this is it. What's your gut telling you?

3:07.1

Your gut feeling as we get to this series.

3:57.5

James, for me, it's the two best teams of baseball, the two best rosters overall in baseball. And it just so happens to be a best of five to start the postseason. Yeah, it's unbelievable. I think this is the best team, the Phillies have faced since the 2022 Astros. I know that Brave team is really good, but this team is a cut above. obviously won the world Series last year. I said this to you before, Joe, if it is possible to be confident and yet completely terrified at the same time, that's what I'm feeling right now because I do believe in this team. I believe in this group of Phillies right now heading in the playoffs more than I did in 22, 23, or 24. Like this is the group I believe the most in. They've got something. The way they've battled adversity, battering back after the Wheeler injury, the Met series, all this stuff we can point to, even in games. If they're down for nothing, they fight back. Like, I love the way this team plays. I love how they're put together. It's the deepest team we've at yet, even without Wheeler. But man, like,

4:14.8

they're going up against a juggernaut. And they can beat them. And I am picking the Phillies in five. Like, I do think they will win this series. But if the Dodgers just got, Dodgers won 17 to 22 now, like they're finally looking like, if they came in here and they were the Dodgers and just handle business, like, it wouldn't be the most shocking thing in the world.
