I'm dedicating the entire episode to prayers for the Holy Father, Pope Francis, who is in Jameli Hospital.

This is one that we are all too familiar with, Steph and I from our time in Italy.

Steph spent about a month in the hospital.

Pope John Paul II was air flighted to Jameli

Hospital after he was shot in 1981. And Pope Francis is there. It's to the north of the city of

Rome. You can't take the metro to it, the X-shaped metro, the underground, or anything like that.

You have to take a train or a helicopter.

So it's a bit north of the city.

And he's there.

To the effect that Pope Francis has polymicrobial respiratory infection.

Now, in an 88-year-old with polymicrobial respiratory infection, with only one lung,

there is carried a poor prognosis due to the advanced age,

the compromised lung function, and the complex nature

of a multibacterial infection, which is what polymicrobial means.

And it significantly increases the risk of complications and mortality, so we are requesting

prayers for Pope Francis.

We'll talk about the object of those prayers in half a second,

but before we get going, let's just say that it is evening time falling there in central Italy,

Laosio, Rome. The Holy See Press Office says Francis still has no fever. That's good news. And is continuing
