And that's somewhere I want to start here this segment, Ben, because I keep looking at the Padres as a team, obviously offensively.

It's very hard to buy into what they're doing.

There's a lot of names that you know and trust, but they're not putting together the numbers that you're used to seeing out of them.

However, when I think about the postseason, and remember, this is a team in San Diego that is

right there that is having a very good start to the season, 32 and 24, they could be a

playoff team.

They likely will be a playoff team.

And if they get into October, doesn't it seem like a team that's actually better set up to

win in the playoffs than they are in the regular season, condensed lower scoring game, a bullpen that they can turn to in the sixth, seventh inning

if they need to, a bunch of arms in the rotation that maybe aren't sexy and overwhelming,

but good enough to be competitive for five or six innings when you need it.

And then you just need a Machado, a Tatis, a Gavin Sheets, someone just to some situational hitting.
