Okay, so we put a post out asking for some listener, confessions and dilemmas based around parenting.

So this is one that you've got to help figure out. I'm in my 30s now, but my mum and dad still insist on trying to nosy their way into every aspect of my life and give unsolicited advice, whether it's dating, work or even

my looks. How can I get them to stop in her boundaries? Well, that's funny because I feel

sometimes that might be similar to my situation. Yes. Okay, so I think one hopes it's done

out of concern, but I think the truth is, I think the parenting, you know, is always there in the background, but it's got to stop. But this is what I was going to ask. When does it stop? Well, by the time you're 30, it should have stopped. I'm sorry, you are now your own person and you know, and you will make your mistakes, etc. And as we all did. But I think that it can be, it's destructive.

I think it can be.

Because you have to be who you are.

And by the time you're 30, you are exactly that.

But do you think as a father you slightly let go a bit quicker than the mothers?

Yeah, I'm sure that's probably the case.

But I mean, maybe, you know, the mother's life for that amount of time has been

that of a mother and so it's hard for her to then sort of break that but they need to but they have

to they must let you be who you are leave the nest yeah well no they can part be in the nest but

they've got to leave controlling. Behind?

Yeah, you've got to leave it. How does one put a stop to it then?

I think you need to sit down and just say, look, enough now. Look, if I want pink hair, I'm going to have pink hair. I mean, much it would be horrified. I mean, it's like, you know, me saying, God's sake, don't have a tattoo. but you know if she does you know I think we know someone it just has but

anyway I haven't seen it yet no god I think that I think our family members do certain things

just to slightly mess with you my tongue piercing was definitely a well that was revolting

I've been in any way that's gone okay when my youngest child was two years old, he found something on the floor which he soon

realized had fallen out of his nappy.

We then spent the next two hours cleaning poo from his mouth.
