It's a combination of factors. It's not just preparing. It's not just being the hungriest.

It's also knowing how to sell to your audience. You know, that's part of selling, right?

Friendly is an Academy Award nominated producer best known for his

best picture nominee Little Miss Sunshine he began his career in journalism

at age 22 when he was named staff writer for Newsweek,

and he actually had an office on the third floor of the building that we are taping this podcast in.

Incredible.

He later joined the Los Angeles Times where he was an entertainment reporter and had his own weekly column, First Look. As I mentioned before,

his lineage is great because his father was the legendary news producer and CBS President

Fred Friendly, who was portrayed by George Clooney and the Academy Award-nominated film

Good Night and Good Luck.

He has been a film producer and motion picture executive for over 25 years and during his career he has produced over 25 films today.

That's 25 movies, 25 films.

It reminds me in 1975, the Red Sox, when they lost the World Series. Denny Doyle said, what, you know, and asked him what kind of personality do you have in the clubhouse?

And he said, I'll tell you what kind of personality we have. 25 guys, 25 cabs. But that

has nothing to do with David's brother. One movie a year average, that's incredible.
