Hello and welcome back to Cult Leader. I'm your Cult Leader, Spencer Henry, and this is a little leader where I read the stories that you send to me. Hey, if you have a story you'd like to share with the cult, send it on over to Spencer at Cult Leader.com.

I'm kind of toying around with the idea of adding something to little leaders. Maybe we do half listener story, half something else, but I'm having trouble thinking what that something else is.

You guys tag me in so many things during the week on Reddit post, or TikToks, or just interesting news stories and stuff. I kind of want to break it up a little bit. Start doing the first half is talking about things that you guys have sent me and tagged me in, interesting things, breaking news stories, all of that.

And then save the second half for the cult babe stories. So let me know what you guys think, or if you have any other ideas. Listen, I'm just trying to plan for next year. I love reading your guys' stories, but I'm like, I think it'd be kind of fun to shake things up and add something else in there. I don't know.

I just an idea, if not, we can totally keep things the same, but I crave change. Clearly, I'm going through a multitude of changes in my life right now. And there's just a lot going on. Like, boy, is it Friday? I'm Sans Hotdog today because I've been doing the whole moving thing, which I won't bore you with the details.

I forgot how insane moving is from packing to getting your last place ready to getting the new place moving ready, finding out all the things that work and don't work. It's just crazy. And I swear to God, you'll pack like 45 boxes and feel like you haven't made a dent in these clothes. I'm like, who's clothes are these? Where are all these clothes from? What was I going through when I bought this outfit?

I just, I've gotten very lazy with my day to day outfits since COVID and everything, and I want to get rid of a lot of clothes, but then I'm like, no, what if I go somewhere again one day? Oh, and shopping for gifts? Please, don't get me started. I'm truly drowning into dulyse right now. My family's asking me about Christmas plans and stuff, and I'm like, I don't know anything. I'll be there. I can't think about anything. My life is in shambles. My clothes are in trash bags. My life is in boxes. Really regretting a December move.

I'll say it. I know how to admit when I was wrong. In some true crime news, Scott Peterson, who infamously murdered his wife, Lacey Peterson, back in 2002. And I've always been adamant that he was guilty. I know there's some people that have their conspiracy theories about it, but no, no, no, no, no, no, no.

Scott Peterson is a guilty man, and he was resented to life in prison this week. They tried to do a whole new trial, everything waste of time, waste of resources. It's actually crazy, though. I realized that it's been almost 20 years. Like what? It's one of the first cases that I vividly remember seeing all of the press and being like, what's going on here? I swear I thought I covered it, but I was looking back at my episode. I don't think I ever did, but if you guys want a story on the Scott Peterson story, let me know.

I have a lot of thoughts and a lot of opinions there. Also, this is nothing to do with anything, but I was telling you guys, I think on Monday that I tried that sugar cookie latte thing or whatever breaking news. I'm going to try it again today, but this time with oat milk, because that's what people were suggesting.

I saw some people saying that in Canada, they automatically make it with oat milk and it's way better than almond milk. So we'll follow up with you all on Monday. All right, all right. That's enough of that. Let's get into some emails. The subject line on this first one says little leader. It's a wild murder story.

Hi Spencer. Hi, this is a wild story about a girl I went to high school with and used to hang out within middle school. But first I just want to say how much I love your podcast. I've listened since very early on and I also love a bituary. Thank you for always being respectful in regards to such serious stories. Thank you so much for your kind words.

We love an early cult babe. We need to upgrade you guys to high priestesses on to the story. So in summer of 2018, this girl will call her D went missing with her boyfriend S. Originally, it was a story about a young couple running away together since D's diabetes kits and other personal belongings were missing from her room.

Then I believe it was her dad or stepdad that began smelling something from the shed. Uh oh, thinking it was a dead raccoon or something where he instead found two garbage bags that looked like there were bodies inside. So he called the police surprise surprise D and S were inside the back. Both of them. Oh my god.

Turns out D's brother killed them both in their sleep by bludgeoning their heads with hammers. Then they suffocated in the bags.

Then cleaned up all the blood and stuff in the bedroom and taken her thing so it looked like she had run away. What the fuck? This is when things get crazy. I know I know. Now is when it gets crazy? Well yeah, the brother went on the run using disguises to hide. At this point, the public did not know who was the suspect. Just that police had an idea of who did it. That day, my family came home from a day on the boat.

My mom said that something crazy happened and they found this young guy stranded in the middle of the lake because his water ski had run out of gas. So my family picked him up and just towed his water ski to shore. But my mom said he gave off really weird vibes.

Later at dinner, I got a text from a friend that D's brother was the official suspect and sent an article with a picture of him and it said he was on the run.

I showed the picture to my mom and she turned ghost white. Apparently, he was the one they rescued today. He was trying to make it to Canada across the lake but didn't think about topping off his tank before going. He was eventually captured in sentence to life without parole, thankfully. Oh my god, thank god, that is crazy. What are the odds that it was your family out on the water? Thank you so much for reading. Please give Hal to Aga pet for me, Angel. Thank you for that story. One of my best friends is named Angel. That's insane. I wonder what the brothers like motive was or what he claimed. I want to look into the story but I'll do that in my own time to keep their privacy for your sake. We're going to take a quick break and we'll be right back.

The subject line on this next one says my sister-in-law's best friends has been to killed his mother-in-law. So your sister-in-law, her best friends, has been killed his mother-in-law.
