How's it going, babes? Happy Friday. When you hear this, I'll be down in the desert, down in Palm Springs, have not been in a while. I feel like I haven't been to the desert in a few months, which is very unlike me because that is my favorite place to be, favorite place to recharge. It is Coachella weekend. I will not be attending the festival.

I usually have a bend to Coachella in a couple years. I used to have to go for work, not have to. I used to get to go with work. It was always a relatively good experience. The older I get, the less my tolerances for people and crowds that large, waiting in lines for things. I just don't have it in me, especially right now. We're in between our tour right now. We are leaving again in about two weeks here I think, a little less than two weeks.

Starting off in Denver, Colorado, which I'm really excited about. I haven't been to Denver before. Nashville, super excited for work. Where else are we going? A bunch of places. Childers next week in Santa Barbara. Charlie Crockett is opening for him. So that should be a pretty incredible concert. But that's kind of all I really got going on.

Excited to just recharge a little bit this weekend. But before we do that, we gotta talk about the news, baby. So there was one thing I was really looking forward to talking about on today's little leader. But I was like, I think we need a full update episode for this because there is a very famous trial going on right now.

And I need to talk about it in a longer capacity. So we're probably going to save that for a main episode. Also, I hinted on Instagram already. But I have a new series that we're going to be doing on cold leader. And I am really, really loving it. I've recorded a couple of episodes already. And I'm really excited to put them out. And hopefully you guys love them too. But that's all I'm going to say. Don't want to give away too much while I'm here hinting at things. I had a really exciting meeting today.

And I will hopefully be able to talk to you guys about it soon. I don't know what to say. That's not going to completely give it away. But it's something we've done before. It's something people ask for a lot. And hopefully you guys are as excited as I am when it comes time to announce it. Okay. That's it. We're going to get into some news. I actually only have one news story today. But I am shocked. Okay. Because it involves a very, very,

famous case. We covered the Menendez brother's story a long time ago on the show. And I don't even remember when it was. I feel like it was probably somewhere towards the beginning or maybe the first year of cold leader. And that is obviously a very, very infamous case. Well, like came across this article from people that says former Manudo boy band member claims he was drugged and raped by the father of the Menendez brothers. The article says Roy 51.

A former member of an iconic 1980s boy band has come forward with allegations that he was molested by the late father of Eric and Lyle Menendez. The brothers were convicted of the grizzly 1989 murders of their parents Jose and Marie Louise Kitty Menendez at the family sprawling Beverly Hills mansion. Jose 45, a Hollywood executive in the head of RCA records at the time of his murder was shot point plank in the head while Kitty 47 suffered from 15 gunshot wounds, including one to the face.

Lyle was 21 and Eric was 18 at the time when the pair carried out the killings. While the privileged brothers initially blamed the mob for the deaths of their parents, they later claimed they shot the couple in self defense after years of sexual abuse at the hands of their father.

And this was always like, I feel like people were very divided on this, especially in recent years. I don't know why there was like a resurgence where people were talking about this. I remember people were sending me emails and all kinds of things being like, you shouldn't have said this, you shouldn't have said that.

But listen, we know what we know, right? But we're constantly learning, we're constantly evolving. At the end of the day, I'm sure I said this on the episode too. Who knows? It was a very long time ago, but I mean, you can't just kill your parents and get away with it.

So a judge ended up deeming the defense inadmissible in court, citing a relevance, and in 1996, the Menendez brothers were subsequently sentenced to life in prison without parole for their parents double murder.

Now more than 30 years later, a former member of the popular Puerto Rican Boy band group, Menudo, claims that he too was victimized by Jose in the 80s, which is really interesting and adds a lot more fuel, I mean, it's devastating, but it adds a lot more fuel to the brothers claim.

In a video clip aired on today, they talk about an upcoming series that's going to come out on peacock, I guess, which I'm really interested to watch. It's called Menendez Plus Menudo.

Boys betrayed and Roy alleges he was drugs and raped as a teen by the powerful Hollywood executive. And this is the first time I've ever heard anything about this.

He said, I know what he did to me in his house. That's the man here that raped me. He alleged in a clip referring to a photo of Jose. That's the, that's the pedophile.

Responding to the newly surfaced claims that there was another alleged sexual assault victim in a phone call with journalist Robert Rand, Eric, now 52, says,

it's sad to know there was another victim of my father. I always hoped and believed that one day the truth about my dad would come out,
