What is a standard protocol for when you get door dinged in a parking lot, but you saw it happen or you're in the car?

I just got door dinged by a guy that appeared to be on some sort of drugs and he left a little ding on my car and then just kind of walked away.

Do I even bother getting his insurance information? Do I just call it a wash?

I'm also in a rental car that my work rented so that could have a factor. But yeah, what would you guys do? Thanks.
