Hello and welcome to our first ever listeners episode of Mysteries of Science.

My name's Dan and I'm the editor of Science of Nature, the monthly magazine from the team behind the Week Junior.

And I'm Kieran, the features editor and today we are going to go for a rummage in our inbox to hear all your thoughts on the first series of mysteries of science.

We'll answer your questions and we're going to take a look ahead to season two as well.

You've left us so many great emails and left even more brilliant comments on Apple Podcasts.

And well, we'll do our best to get to as many of them

as we can. So there's no time to waste. Let's go. Okay, well, why don't we start with self-confessed

superfan Louis, who's aged seven, and here's what he sent in. I listen to every episode of

mysteries of science lots of times.

My favorite one is Planet X.

That's because I like the idea of there being another planet that we don't know about.

The episode I found the most scary was King Tick's Curse.

Things I'd like to hear about in series two include is luck real. How the Pyramids

built? How did life start? I am so glad, Louis, that I was not the only one to find King Tuts

curse. Very scary. And I think it's probably the scariest episode, whatever going to do.

So don't worry about season two being too full of curses and horrible things like that.

Yeah.

And I always wanted to find out why is a mummy actually called a mummy?

We need to figure that one out as well, Kieran.

And did you hear that? What about luck being real? Is luck real? What a fantastic question. My mind is spinning after that one. I want to investigate that one. Yeah, we'll need to do that before there's a big lottery and then use our scientific knowledge to try and increase our luck. Good thinking.
