And Nathan writes, Dear Robert and Joe, I recently listened to your episode Dissolver of Worlds about the search for a universal solvent.

It reminded me of an old-time radio show I

used to listen to called Lights Out. In the episode Oxychloride X, a disgruntled chemistry student

creates a chemical compound which eats through anything. As soon as it's created, it begins

dissolving the chemistry lab and eating through

the ground below. Over the remainder of the story, the hole caused by the chemical grows larger,

both in depth and diameter, wreaking havoc worldwide. People even become terrified that it will
