Welcome to the beginning of a shorter week as we took Memorial Day off like we usually do.

So you can either read it or listen to it.

I think it's a different view of Memorial Day than a lot of people tend to give you.

Coming for me, I guess it would be a little bit different as I'm always a little bit different.

But what I talk about in it is first of all understanding this thing like Memorial Day and Veterans Day.

Memorial Day is not the day you go out and you thank Veterans for their service or anything like that if that's the thing that you do.

Memorial Day is about the people who fell and never got up again and never came home and understanding that difference.

And then the other part of it is addressing the concept that some people don't think we should celebrate Memorial Day.

We shouldn't be out with our families and having barbecue and enjoying a three-day weekend.

It's a somber occasion.

It is somber, but I make a case that the people that gave their lives would probably want you to go on enjoying a living years.

And I can't think of a more fitting thing that you could do on a Memorial Day than crack a beer with some buddies and some family and enjoy yourselves.

Anyway, just a little aside, I didn't want to plan on bringing that up.

I just thought of it when I turned the machine on.
