Another week of the KF press review show, Coach Ferrant stands at the podium and answers questions.

David and I hop on a day later and try to decipher the ins and outs of Iowa Hawkeye football through coaches eyes. If you listen closely, you might just get a few delicious crumbs.

David, why didn't we run the ball more inside the five yard line?

What a transition man from the off the camera to on like that yeah it was very

all over here yeah that's a good question man I mean not even just that but

why would you not give the ball to Caleb Johnson inside the five yard line the

guy that's averaging nine yards of carry up until that point feels kind of like

a like a Marsha on Lynch situation in the Super Bowl.

I just I know we have a lot to dive in here, but that was kind of my biggest gripe about the situation. Like if you have first and goal from the one and you have first and goal from the three and they have not been able to stop the run.

I give the ball to Caleb Johnson four times and if they stop you four times then they get the ball

the one yard line. I think he live with it even if you don't get the three at least at one of the two times

hindsight's always 20-20 right yeah we did try and run the ball I believe on one of those

possessions I'm not sure if it was where we were two yards out or three

yards out I think we got they got great pressure which which caused us to go backwards

a little bit and I think that's something that gets lost in translation when you look at,

you're just looking at things on paper. And you forget that Iowa State has players that make plays too.

Yeah, they're getting paid NIL dollars to make plays and win games too.

And so yeah, like they made a great play on that.

But that was too, I think so too.

I think they were running, Iowa was running a 14 personnel

and my big gripe about that was one, you took out Caleb.
