0:45.9	serial killer case, which could be a highlight of anyone's law enforcement career, absolutely
0:51.8	amazing. But many people ask the question, well, why did he resign at the height of his career?
0:57.5	Well, one of the reasons is that there was just an election yesterday for the Suffolk County

1:06.2	And a gentleman named Ed Romaine, a Republican, he won the race.
1:12.0	He is the new county executive.
1:14.6	And the old county executive, Boulogne, had term limited out.
1:19.5	He did 12 years.
1:20.6	He appointed Rodney Harrison.
1:23.7	Now, could Rodney Harrison have stayed on if Ed Romaine wanted him to?
1:28.6	Yes, but Commissioner Harrison didn't want to wait around to see if that was going to happen or not.
1:34.1	So he resigned rather than have to tender his resignation to a new county executive who most likely will pick his own police commissioner.
