Jesus may be in your heart, but grandpa is in your bones. Ever heard anyone say that? A lot of

interest in the topic of the idea of generational sin. I have a lot to say about this after some

personal Bible study and research. So let's not waste another minute. Let's get right to it.

So Pete Scazzaro, a pastor and an author, someone I actually really like and regard, said this, Jesus may be in your heart, but grandpa is in your bones. And on one hand, I get the sentiment and even I agree with it in part. It's the idea that we have things in our family that affect us. You get the point of this statement

that we cannot separate ourselves from, no matter how much we try and we want to and we do

work to do, actually. Wednesday, I did a show with Ike Miller who wrote a book called Good

Baggage, who I talked with on his podcast for the book about

legacy and DNA, something I wrote about in the hard good, and how much the Lord helped me deal

with my own issues with this, because the truth is, there are things in my life with my own

father that I had to wrestle down like all of us do with things in our own past that have

to do with legacy and DNA.

But I have one major problem with this statement that Pete Schizero said, and I'm going to tell

you what it is in a minute.

But first I want to talk to you about generational sin a bit, because I've done a lot of

studying about this in the past year as I was preparing to write my Bible study,

which comes out in October, called Your God Knows. I actually wrote an entire session for that
