So we're going to start today.

I want to hear more about kind of what happened to you because the night your husband died,

your life transformed in two ways. Big time. Yes, in two ways. Two major ways. So can you tell us a

little about that? Yes. So the night my husband died, it was February 22nd, 2004, and he had been sick for seven years.

He had been battling lymphoma cancer, and he had had three stem cell transplants and multiple rounds of chemotherapy and radiation.

And unfortunately, there was just nothing that could be done.

And so on the 21st, we had called hospice in because I had been

doing this all alone. He didn't want any help. He never really admitted that he was going to die until

just a couple days before he passed. And we had two young children. They were one and three when he was

diagnosed and then eight and ten when he died.
