So Lisa Frankenstein is set in the suburbs of 1989.

Catherine Newton plays Lisa an awkward and introverted teenager still adjusting after her mother was murdered before her eyes.

She now lives with her father, her new stepmother, and her step sister Taffy, a well-meaning popular cheerleader determined to get Lisa to fit in.

Taffy is played by Liza Sobrano.

But Lisa isn't much interested in high school life.
