Pride of Detroit.com, where we take a look at the Lions' upcoming opponent for this week.

I'm your host, Miko, joined once again by my amazing co-host Morgan Cannon. This week, Morgan, the Lions have an opportunity to get a get right game against the New York Giants. This is a team that I think a lot of Lions fans are going to look at this on paper and be like, this should be an easy dub. But I think as we go throughout the rest of this podcast, we're going to kind of talk about some of the potential challenges that could pop up with the Giants. But I think even still, there's going to be a pretty consistent theme that this is a team that's very much struggling at this point in the season. Yeah, like they're two and nine for a reason, right? So, you know, you don't, you don't get, you don't get there by accident. They've, they've lost some close games. They've looked not competitive in others. Like, they had that, that game where they jumped the Eagles, but then the Eagles came back a couple weeks later, ended up beating them 38 to 20 and kind of just ran through them. So they, you know, as you probably know, if you're listening to this, they did fire Brian Dable. What was that two weeks ago? Yep. So that's a bit of a change. We'll get into what make what Kafka, Mike Kafka is doing differently. And yeah, they're coming off that loss to Green Bay now and they've lost five straight Miko. So it's not going well over there for

Big Blue. No. And this is a team like you said that has struggled, right? I mean, they started the

season initially going with Russell Wilson thinking that that veteran quarterback would kind of help

spark things for them and at least give Jackson Dart an opportunity to learn, you know, as as QB2

didn't quite go, didn't go quite that well. I mean, the, sorry, the Giants went 0 and 3 for those first couple of weeks. Jackson Dark comes in. They've won at least two games with him, but he has since sustained this concussion and has kind of pretty much been in concussion protocol the last, what, week and a bit. But we do have a little bit of, like good news when it comes down to him and or at least good news for the giants when it comes

And his likelihood of possibly playing this week because he was at least limited in practice this week, which is at least a good sign that he's trending towards possibly making the start this week. Yeah. And he was fun to watch, like, play. I watched a couple of their games when he was

playing him and Scataboo were fun to watch, although both of them need to be a little bit more

careful. I just a freak injury. I hope he gets better soon. I was, I was watching that live

when that happened. That was just with the angle, but both the way both them boys run. I did see there was like an article written by somebody a couple weeks ago. And apparently Giants Brass did have a conversation with Dart. And they're like, hey, man, like we like you running the ball, but you got to like, you know, we got to take less hits because he's not a, he's not a huge, not a hulking guy. He not cam newton it's not josh allen so yeah but it is good

news for the giants because at this point in the game you i don't think they really have any

playoff aspirations but you would like to know what you have or don't have in jackson dart

and you know it could take longer than that but you you want as big of a sample size as possible when looking at him. And I'm still, they kept Joe Shane, right? The GM. He's still there? Yeah. Yeah. Which is kind of the thing that, like, I think, you know, Giants fans were kind of like a little surprised by or a little confused by is like, okay, you fire a table, but you keep the GM.

You know, that doesn't typically go well. So I mean, I don't know. Maybe they're just trying to buy their time with that situation. But it is a good opportunity for this team and this organization

to kind of get an idea of do you truly have your franchise quarterback of the future?

Obviously with Mike Kafka taking over the reins as

as the interim head coach, it also gives you an idea of do you have a head coach possibly,

you know, in the building or do you have to actually conduct a head coaching search after the
