What if the optimal work week is two days in the office and not three?

New research suggests that for some employees and businesses, one or two days in office a week is a sweet spot for hybrid work.

So we've discussed this all the time on the show.

And I know many of you are in your cars on your way to work right now.

It has become, because of the tight labor market, kind of a regular thing, kind of not an exciting thing for

everyone to go in three days and then be off, or not off, but at your house, or wherever,

for two days.

Evidently, a new working paper from the Harvard Business School based on research found that

people who work from the office one or two days a week were more productive while achieving

work flexibility without being totally isolated from their peers. So this looks like it's not going away.

People are saying, you know, I don't think I want to do that five-day thing and be

honest with you, the three, I'm still driving in three out of five.

I'd like two.

And companies are finding out that it actually

may work. It absolutely may work. You know, we're inching closer and closer to a study reveals

that Americans just don't feel like working. No more know how.
