And the Lakers made a big-time lineup and schematic change to their defense. And they do it amidst a tough weekend against OKC and Boston. Lakers split a pair of games.

Look really good against OKC. Go up by as much as 26 in the third quarter. And then hold on for the nine point victory.

And then Lakers lose to the hated Celtics. Celtics go up 12, nothing to start the game.

Mike, Lakers went to, like I said, both a lineup and schematic switch going with Jared

Vanderbilt instead of DeAngelo Russell.

I think first of all,

Darvin Ham was pretty explicit about this change before it happened in OKC and essentially said

that it's time to lean into the identity of the team that they think is the most easy,

or not most easy, just the most practical to capture and that's the defense and

so that to me is positive just based on all the conversations that we've had this year about

what the identity of the team is going to be and trying to figure out the right players to put

around the brown and a d and now they've indexed pretty far in that direction by basically moving
