and we have a lot to get to today. So we're going to jump right into it. I'm sure as you guys saw this morning,

Jacoby Clapper, linebacker out of Ohio, committed to Notre Dame this morning. and that was the first notification that I

looked at from my phone when I got back this morning from taking the dog out so yeah it was a

good way to start the day so we're going to begin today's show by breaking down his commitment

and then after that as you guys know it is Friday so it's the iris breakdown free for all

Friday mailbag so be sure to get those

questions and comments in. But first, Brian, big commitment this morning, man.

Yeah, it was a surprising one from the standpoint of the timing. I was not aware that that was

happening today. If this is one of those ones, Tre Treb that for a while now, it was a when,

not if recruitment. I mean, the kid, I don't know that he's even visited anyone in the last

couple months except for Notre Dame. What I was told is he was going to probably take some

officials and then make his decision afterwards. And I guess he decided in the last couple days that he was ready to go

and kind of get over the, kind of deal with the inevitable of, hey, this is a kid that wants to be

at Notre Dame and why drag it out? And it was an interesting recruitment, Trev, because

Notre Dame has been perceived as the leader for a while for Jacoby Clapper,

but there was a period in there where it was just kind of, it was really quiet.

And so I'm doing some digging on him and I talked to some people and they're like, yeah,

he just, he's been kind of just hasn't talked a lot.

So we're not, not sure if it's like if the interest level, apparently if the

interest level's not there or kind of what the deal is, but apparently he just was kind of

disengaged from the recruiting process. And part of that was he's known where he's going to go for
