Hello and welcome to the very last episode of Tea Time. This was a weekly podcast on the ringer podcast network. I am Liz Kelly.

I'm Kate Allawell. Oh, I'm kind of equivalent. I guess I'm supposed to be on this episode. You are. You are. You are. And I'm Amelia. What am I here? And today we're checking in with the memories. I know that. Sorry. I know I should be like the memory of the memory.

Yeah. This is going to be really fun. We're going to be checking in with like the greatest hits. Some high sub lows and then give a cringe mode Oscars.

Just a trip down memory lane. We're just going to take a little nostalgic hour and you all have to listen to it. So it's going to be very indulgent. Yeah. It is. I'm sorry. But you know after all these years. I know I think exactly.

I heard it. Yeah. I want it. So let's start at the beginning. Not really but kind of. Um, Kate, you want to talk through like the origins of tea time and some highlights. Yeah, we got a lot of questions.

First of all, thank you so much for all of your questions. And yes, extremely emotional. Yeah. Oh god. I know we've been sending screenshots back and forth for the past several

weeks, especially this past week because they got super real. They did. And it just is really nice. You know, we talk a lot about how only our parents listen, but a lot of

listeners all over the world. And it was lovely to see. Anyway, lots of questions in the DMs about how to time started. I think we have a lot of

listeners that seemed like during the pandemic. Yeah. People boarded home. I mean, we were bored at home. Yeah, very unhinged during the

pandemic. So apologies. Thank you. But a lot of people I think weren't there when tea time started. And so a lot of questions about the origin, how it started, original goals, how it's changed, et cetera.

First of all, I want to shout out Lindsey Lohan's Beach Club for I think creating tea time. Unless I'm remembering this. No, I think you're a great threat. I mean, I used to sit in the

editorial open together. Give a year. Give a year. 2018. Nice. Wow. And we used to do these like Instagram stories together. That was technically

how to time back. I happened to sort of started. They were bad. Oh, I like the ringer audience here to them because they're all men. Okay, there we go. Anyway, we used to do that. And then Bill Simmons of ringer fame. You may know him. He came to the office one day and was talking

about Lindsey Lohan's Beach Club, which was the show that was premiering sometime soon in 2018. And we just talked him for like 15 minutes about it. Emilia, as you said, a lot of thoughts about

Lindsey Lohan's Beach Club. And basically Bill was like, you guys want a podcast? And we're like, sure. He was like, this could be a podcast. We get

lizen vault. And we're like, yeah. And then Kyle was like, the only female producer at the ringer at the time. I literally they were going to hand it to Kyle. And then I think, oh, yeah, because of Bill, he was like, Kyle can do it. And then we were like, what if there was a woman. And so it

went to Kaya. And here I was. The soul woman. Yeah, love it. Yeah. And then Emilia included our slack with Phil in this outline, where he was basically just like, here's my vision for the pod. And we're like, okay, yeah, I even dropped the F word. I can't

believe I did that. Yeah, Bill, this is my fucking wheelhouse. Incredible, iconic. And yeah, that's the beginning of two time. Yeah, we recorded an episode that we didn't think anyone

was ever going to hear. Yeah, right over Christmas, like, sitting, he was on part of it. And then he just like, gone out and watched.

Yeah, I enjoyed it, right? Yeah. Yeah, it was a little stressful. Yeah, and then we all went on Christmas break. And then he was like, let's put it up. Yeah.
