starters always I just got done doing a rather extensive testing session for

modern modern yeah and I found a deck that I really like. So you're going to Portland this weekend? I'm on to Portland this weekend at

PTQ although after my testing session I'm tentatively so like you know how

tournament you're like I'm gonna win like I'm going to win I'm going to win the

tournament right but you play the deck and you play the cards and you've never resolved a tarmacoyf and you've never resolved a or you know played a shockland and you know like I'm learning very quickly but I am way behind the curve on most of these cards I'm the you know the guy

plays at all can shackles k can I read that you know I don't know what these cards do at all

even play your first turn if you've got to use sacklands to go find like dual land.

Dude I have to piece it together like it's not even it's very difficult and also I'm at 11 by

turn three every game so probably doing it wrong and this deck so the deck I'm

playing is rug with delvers and it's like a tempo-based you know red blue

deck splashing for Goyf and it's like very difficult because every turn you need to pretty much plan on using

up most of your manna and you need to do it in certain sequences and certain orders. It reminds

me of playing the rug deck I played in standard, but it's like sort of got even more pressure on it in the sense that like you just really can't miss anything and if you do, nah you might as well just give up because it's designed to do like 21 damage you know like it just barely gets in there

so anyway I'm learning but I have a feeling that the PTQ is going to end up being a little bit more of a learning experience

just because I'm trying to be realistic but positive, you know what I mean?

So anyway.

It's weird, like there are tournaments that I go into feeling like I'm going to win even though testing has gone horribly like states.
