Hello and welcome to the latest episode of Unfiltered which is shaping up a touch wood to fulfill a lot of the hopes we had when we started the project.

People given enough time and space to let us find out quite a lot more about them than perhaps we previously

knew this week's guest is Lily Allen who I feel I do know oddly because of her

work and also because of her social media would you call it?

Campaigning, protesting, I don't know, we'll find out what she calls it.

I'm really, really looking forward to this, but I'm probably more nervous about it than

any of the other interviews we've done. We've never met and yet you kind of, I feel that I know you.

Partly, obviously like everybody does because you put so much of yourself in your

songs but then also because you've somehow sort of arrived at this this place on social media and in public life where you care about a lot of stuff and get a lot of

Jip for it, a lot of stick for it. So I thought I'd start by asking you when you were

last carefree. I think I've always been quite troubled by the state of the world actually

since quite early age.

And I've always just thought, wow, it just feels like so massive and complex,

like how is anyone going to fix everything.

But I don't know I think it's interesting you say that I've sort of arrived in

this place of social media because I feel like actually I started there with my space.

Of course, yeah. And that's kind of always been what people were attracted to even before they were

attracted to the music was this sort of free thinking free

or outward speaking person. I'm 45 years old and I I missed my space. I've made up for it since but I knew that that was where you first got
