That's the Monday, Memorial Day Monday here in the state. So thanks to all our listeners who did their time in uniform.

And I think I've mentioned Drew on this podcast, but I was in the U.S. Army from March of 1983 through the spring of 1987.

And while a lot of our men and women in the armed services endure hardship, spending months, sometimes years away from friends and family under very tough conditions.

I'm not going to lie here, folks. That was not what I experienced at all. Have I told you about

my time in the service at Alderu? A little bit. You were a, you were a journalist in the Army, right?

A 71Q.

That's actually what you did.

Army trained journalist.

And I have to say, worst part of my entire stint in the Army was in Basic, which I went through at Fort Leonardwood, Missouri.

A beautiful part of the country, by the way.

Never saw clouds like that ever anywhere in my entire life.

After that, I was transferred to Fort Benjamin Harrison,

which is located just outside of Indianapolis for my advanced individual training.
