Hey you there, you can't ignore me. No one can ignore me. I'm Todd the announcer and Eric lets me do his announcing.

0:16.4

I'm always right there by his side to allow the announcer everything he does. Even things like coughing and sneezing. His wife hates it. And now, Eric Matex.

Hey there folks. This is the Eric Matex Show and you know Todd, I don't mean to shock you, but I can ignore you. I do. I try. At least they try. Folks, you know if you've listened to the program, if you read my books, one of the most important things to me in the world is the unborn. They are not treated as human beings should be treated in this country. It's a big issue for me. And therefore, one of my heroes and friends

in this movement is Lila Rose. You may know of her. She founded something called live action when she was 15. She's a little older than that, but not much. And she's on the line with me right now. Lila, welcome.

1:08.4

Hi, Eric. Thanks for having me on. I hope it in embarrass you as a woman to let people know that you're older than 15. I know women don't like don't like it. I least you didn't say I was still 15.

1:18.4

No, no, I didn't. You're so young that that's your worry, right? But when you get older, you'd be thrilled to be thought of as 15. But listen, you really, you're in many ways at the very center of the life movement in the United States. And you're your spokesperson for it wherever you go, you're spoken in Europe and you really, if I want to know what's going on, when I think of the movement for the unborn,

1:48.4

I think of you. And so I know there's something going on right now that's important. And I wanted to have you want to talk about this. So rather than my explaining it, why don't I let you do that?

1:59.2

Thanks Eric. Well, thanks for caring so much and being such a powerful voice for it as well. I'm so we're really grateful for your your witness and your voice.

2:09.4

This is a really special time right now in the public movement. And there's a few things happening that I want to share. So first of all, we are at a crossroads with the funding of the biggest abortion chain plan parenthood. And as you may know, you know, plan parenthood commit 900 abortions every day. That's 900 children children killed every day.

2:30.4

And they do a third of abortion. They are also the biggest political proponent and they get half a billion dollars of taxpayer money. It's madness. It's absolutely. You know, even if you are pro choice or pro abortion, why do you think people who who think abortion is a horror should be forced to use their tax dollars to pay for it? It's unbelievable. So it's at least the fair thing to do to defund plant parenthood. I mean, I think they should be run out of business.

3:00.3

But that's another issue, but using taxpayer money. So what is going on with that right now? Right. So now we finally have a administration who wants to defund plant parent, you know, President Trump has pledged to do that. So first of all, live action just released a report last week.

3:15.3

Right when the health and human services, the secretary, Azar, the health and human services is proposing a new title 10 funding rule. That's mumbo jumbo for basically the special fund of money that plan parent to get 60 million from every year. And they have the power to shut it off.

3:32.3

So right now in the next few weeks, they're getting feedback from folks like us, basically, and others in government about the rule, but the rule would make sure that money does not go to plan parenthood or any other abortion facility.

3:45.3

So this is a huge deal. This is unprecedented. This would be $60 million out for plan parent.

3:50.3

Okay, let me just ask you real quick. I know that they're getting a half a billion a year because you just said it. I mean, I knew it myself. So this would only be defunding the 60 million of that.

4:01.3

Correct. So it's a small piece, but it's an important one. I mean 60 million is going to hurt the rest of that money, though, is usually most of it comes in through Medicaid reimbursement. And that's a legislative act that needs to take place.

4:14.3

So you've got Congress, you have to act and you've got healthy human services, healthy human services has power over about 60 million Congress and then, you know, signing president Trump signing has to stop funding the rest of the money.

4:26.3

So we're taking one step at a time that the other money is through the budget process. And unfortunately, Congress and the president did just pass a budget that does continue to fund effectively plan parenthood that happened a couple months ago.

4:40.3

So that's a whole other battle. We're going to have this fall when we have another opportunity and live action is going to be working really hard to make sure that doesn't happen.

4:47.3

But right now we're focusing on the unprecedented opportunity to make sure that we at least get the 60 million out first. And then this fall, we will fight for the rest.

4:56.3

Okay. So when. So when does this, the 60 million that's related to this title nine.

5:01.3

Title 10, yep. I'm sorry, title 10. When will that vote be or when is that happening?
