Lil Wayne, the last time we got a Carter album, was 2018 for the Carter 5.

So this was a seven-year wait for Lil Wayne's The Carter 6.

And in the meantime, he had been dropping mixtapes like The Fix Before the 6.

album but it felt like so much was writing on this one album for him to beat the allegations that

he was washed because that ended up becoming a narrative and people felt like if there was one

album he was really going to perform on it was going to be the Carter 6, but let's get through

this starting off with the artist's performance. What did you think? Well, listen, I understand that

Lil Wayne is not in 2007 anymore. I know that he's not dropping mixtapes like the Drought 3 and

there's not those types of rapping performances anymore. I wasn't even expecting something like

the Carter 3 or like the

Carter 4 for example where Wayne was in his prime and he was coming together with, you know,

some of the best producers in the industry and delivering some of the most infectious punchlines

and some of the craziest wordplay that you could find from a rapper in the pop lane as far as
