He sometimes suffered from crippling anxiety and depression, but bare to soul on stage and online to millions of fans who felt the deep empathetic connection to him.

He self-medicated daily with a pharmacy-sized array of street-precured prescription meds and illicit drugs.

He was a once-in-a-generation type voice, poised to become one of the mainstream's biggest success stories, but whose life was senselessly cut short.
