Country music rap rap music, two great tastes that tastes great together.

So say I, and I've been saying this for years.

This is like one of the one of the secret

crusades of my career, the many many many years that I have devoted to

documenting and writing about the overlap of country music and hip-hop.

I know in the current moment everybody is thinking about Lilinaz X Old Town Road,

which as I'm sure you guys know has been a viral hit for the really last couple months,

but only really coming into the mainstream consciousness in the last couple weeks.

So that's something that is a new thing that's happening, but is not the first time that something like this has happened.

And so rather than go too deep on the little Nasak's record,

well, we will come back to that later.

What I do want to do is take you guys on a tour of 20 or so years of country rap history.
