We've been for weeks now taking the time to discover what God has for us in the book of First

Peter. And if you have a copy of the scriptures or access to them on a mobile device, we're going to be in

1st Peter chapter 4

verses 7 through 13 and if you don't have your own Bible we're going to put the

verses on the screen for you. The title of my message this week is like your life depends on it. Like your life depends on it. And I want to give

to you a message that's all about diligence. I'm going to preach it like my life depends on. I hope you

came to listen like your life depends on it.

Peter says in 1st Peter chapter 4 the end of all things is near. How about that

for an opening line? It's like you have my attention now.

The end of all things is near.

Therefore, be clear-minded and self-controlled

so that you can pray.

Above all, love each other deeply,

because love covers over a multitude of sins.

Offer hospitality to one another without grumbling.

Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God's grace in its various

forms.

If anyone speaks, he should do it as one speaking the very words of God.

If anyone serves, he should do it with the strength God provides,

so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ.

To Him be the glory and the power forever and ever.
