Covenant theology wants to look not only topically at the Bible, what does the Bible say about the covenants,

but historically how does the history of redemption unfold in the Bible and what role do the covenants play in that?

So it's a sense, it's a blending of both systematic and

biblical theology. And it grew, it grew out of reform theology.
