Summary

Are You Menstrual?
In this episode, we are covering another foundational topic for hormone health: light exposure and circadian rhythm. We can’t talk about one without mentioning the other, and many women don’t realize that both things have a significant impact on hormone health.
Our bodies take in everything in our environment as information, and light is a big part of that. The focus is often on reducing blue light exposure, but increasing sunlight is just as important, if not even more critical. Our light exposure can impact our circadian rhythm, which is our body’s internal clock. This then trickles down to impact digestion, hormones, sleep, energy, and more!

Hey ladies. So in this episode, we are going to be covering another foundational topic for hormone health, and that is light exposure in circadian rhythm. I'm sure you've heard of both

0:48.6

of these buzz phrases in the wellness world, as they're both very important. And you can't

0:53.7

really talk about one without

0:54.8

talking about the other because they go hand in hand, and many women don't realize that they

1:00.2

both have a significant impact on hormone health. So as you probably already know, our body's taken

1:07.7

everything in our environment as information. And light is a really big part of that.

1:13.4

So the focus most often in the wellness sphere is reducing blue light exposure, which is going to be

1:21.6

your screen light and your artificial light. But we are going to talk about also how increasing sunlight is just

1:29.1

as crucial. So even, it might even be more critical, to be honest with you, than reducing

1:34.7

blue light. But we'll get more into that. Our light exposure impacts our circadian rhythm.

1:40.6

And this is our body's internal clock, which Amanda is going to cover in much more detail

1:45.9

in this episode. So our circadian rhythm is what trickles down to impact digestion,

1:51.9

hormones, sleep, energy, and so much more. So we hope you enjoy this episode because once again,

1:58.5

we have a lot of good info for you. So what is circadian rhythm?

2:03.7

It really comes down to the fact that it's our body's natural internal process that regulates

2:10.5

our sleep wake cycle. And it repeats about every 24 hours. It's actually slightly less than 24 hours I learned. And I was like,
