title yeah we're finally talking all about light and magic the documentary all about the

creation formation and legacy of i lM industrial light and magic created by the maker himself,

George Lucas, so that he could make Star Wars, for which we wouldn't have a podcast.

I'm John. Thank you for joining us. With me, as always, Lacey and James.acey you uh we we didn't try to talk too

much about this heading into it but uh you said you were brought to tears a couple

times so that that's that's a powerful thing when when a documentary about special effects and and what the story it tells can bring you to that point.

So it sounds like the documentary had an impact on you.

Yeah, I wasn't joking.

Like I said it in jest because we had said it in one of the news stories with Dave Falani.

But I did mean it.

It was like a religious experience for me. It was such a good... It was more than I expected. I went in not knowing

what to expect, which I find I've been enjoying content a lot better that way. I've lowered my

expectations with a lot of things, and even if I had expectations, I feel

like this would have led up to it anyway, but it, this behind the scene stuff is always, to

me, a lot of the times more impactful than the actual projects that people are working

on.

And I know that's like that's a bold statement to make.

Like Lacey, they're talking about like the original trilogy and stuff and the prequels and whatnot.

There's just something that's more important to me when it comes to human connection and

empathy and success stories and hard work that just impact me more than fictional space stories. So this one meant a lot.
