| 0:00.0 | How's it going you'll hear it listeners? |
| 0:03.6 | This is Caleb Kirby. |
| 0:04.9 | I'm here with another episode of the Runnyback series. |
| 0:28.3 | All right, so today's best of is going to be centered around learning. |
| 0:35.6 | I wanted to make this one more of a philosophical approach, a little bit overall, you know. |
| 0:40.0 | I think that as musicians, a lot of times getting better, |
| 0:46.6 | your instrument has a lot to do with a philosophy that allows you to become a better version of yourself every day. And that doesn't mean like there's some easy trick, you know, to getting |
| 0:51.4 | into what you're working on. That doesn't mean like that you're just |
| 0:55.4 | naturally gifted at anything. This just means that you've got a goal in mind. You've got a mindset |
| 1:00.1 | that you want to accomplish. And the only way to get there is just incremental a little bit every |

| 1:49.0 | and you've said different things, they're talented in this, he's talent, she's, whatever. So I think |
| 1:52.5 | at the younger age, and maybe that's why you, in terms of music, you've been doing this so long, |
| 1:56.3 | you disassociate really with the talent. But I do think that it's more applicable at an inexperienced or younger age. But don't you think it's more just a combination of, okay, I might have a couple of physical characteristics, big hands or good ears or whatever, that helped me play music. But more, it's just that I was super interested in it than anything. I was just so curious about it. You know what I mean? |
| 2:17.7 | I think that's what talent really is. |
| 2:19.3 | Yeah, nature versus nurture, passion versus an A thing. |
