Summary

Today, our first letter comes from Meagan: Meagan resonates deeply with oneness and embodied experience, but struggles with traditional ideas of "spirit" and individual identity after death. She asks whether her understanding is missing something—or if Spirit is something far more expansive than a separate self.

Our next letter comes from Crystal: After being kept from her husband in his final days, Crystal is carrying deep anger, grief, and a sense of betrayal. She asks how to truly forgive, release the pain, and reconnect with love—even when the hurt still feels overwhelming.

Finally, Michael leads a guided meditation.

Thank you for tuning in. Thank you for listening or watching or both.

Our first letter comes from Megan. She says, my question is about the concept of spirit.

0:57.0

I consider myself a mystic and that I orient my understanding of life and existence around felt

1:03.2

experience and embodiment rather than ideas or constructs. I've often heard the term spirit

1:10.5

and soul, but I don't fully understand or

1:14.0

resonate with them as they relate to the individual. I struggle to conceive of myself as a

1:19.0

spirit that continues on as its own entity after death. However, I once had a powerful experience

1:27.3

in meditation where I felt on a visceral level

1:29.5

the connectedness of myself and everything around me.

1:34.9

Even connectedness doesn't quite capture it.

1:38.5

It was more of like a direct knowing of oneness.

1:42.2

Since that experience, I've come to believe that there's an underlying field that connects all

1:45.6

things and that love is inseparable from that field.

1:50.0

From this, I can imagine a return to that oneness after death.

1:55.8

But the idea of my spirit would retain some kind of autonomy or remain as a separate defined entity as something

2:04.3

I don't resonate with.

2:06.8

My concern is whether I'm disconnected from some essential aspect of selfhood.

2:12.3

Can you offer any insight or practices that might help me understand the nature of spirit or

2:16.5

whether it is even necessary

2:17.6

or useful concept to hold. There's a lot of great stuff in here. So first of all, a mystic is an

2:25.2

individual that has a conscious connection with the presence. As you say, it's beyond construct,
