My friend Tony died from complications of AIDS when I was in college.

I've spoken in bottom before, it's because I think about him a lot.

Sometimes with tears, a lot of times with laughter, always with a smile.

Tony knew I was gay before I did, and in his own way he looked after me.

He knew when I was getting beaten at home, he knew when I was selling drugs on the street,

I was still in the closet when he died, so for a long time I didn't fully understand
