As you know, we build

the Scotland Outdoors podcast out of a live programme we do for BBC Radio Scotland, which featured all sorts of things this week.

But we were also trying to pay tribute to one of Scotland's greatest mountaineering characters.

Now tell me the truth. Are you cooied up warm? Are you underneath the duvet, have you listening to the radio, just thinking yourself, oh, this is fine and cozy in here? Well, good for you. Because it's minus two out here. It's absolutely bitter. But I'll tell you what did happen on the way in here this morning. Twice, twice I had to slow down to let a road here actually trot up the road in front of me

before it could find a gateway and heading in.
