Life Lesson Learned from a Furniture Warehouse, and this is an in real time life lesson that's happening right now because I'm standing right here in front of this furniture warehouse.

And so we have an incredible office in our house.

We are very blessed that we have a home office and a lot of times I work from that

home office. But over the last four days we have been working very hard to try to buy a hotel in New Orleans.

I've been sitting in that home office, I've been in front of that computer, I've been

crunching numbers, I've been getting on phone

calls while sitting in that home office lots of lots of lots of work in that

home office and so when Heather said to me hey I have to go to this furniture warehouse today, I have to do some running around downtown, would you want to come with me?

It was funny because even though I have a ton of work to do, and it's a lot easier to do from my home office I jumped at that

chance and was like I will surely come with you to go around run errands do a little work from

from the car on my phone that I can do and then hang out at this

furniture warehouse and the reason is because sometimes you just have to change

your setting. So this has worked for me before in times when I have been blocked creatively,

when I have kind of run into a lack of mental energy at times.

I've gotten deep into something and I thought all I can't do anymore.

I've just stood up and changed my setting.

Sometimes for me that's as simple as going from the home office into the kitchen table as long as the kids aren't at home bugging me.

Sometimes that's getting out of the home office and going to a coffee shop.

Sometimes it's going from one coffee shop to another coffee shop. Sometimes it's going from one coffee shop to another coffee shop and

sometimes that is just deciding to get out on a bright sunny day and go hang out for a

little bit at a furniture warehouse. It's incredible what just

changing your setting for a little bit can do for you to get out of your own mind,
