Summary

8 | It's safe to say we've all heard the phrase, "life is short." But, recently, I heard someone say the opposite - that "life is long" - and it really got me thinking. So, this week, I'm dissecting both of these mindsets, comparing and contrasting, and trying to figure out which one is right.

Hello everyone, welcome back to another episode of Digital Diary. I'm your host, Hannah Elise.

0:05.2

If you can tell, my voice sounds a little like nasally slash raspy right now. That is because I have

0:11.1

been dealing with a cold for the past week, which is definitely annoying and has put a bit of a

0:18.0

wrench into my routine, but it could be worse, so it's fine.

0:21.7

But that is why my voice sounds a bit different today.

0:24.3

I quite literally put myself on vocal rest the last two days because I completely lost my voice

0:29.6

this weekend and like nothing was coming out.

0:33.2

So I have barely spoken at all the last two days.

0:37.2

I have been drinking tea like crazy, trying to

0:40.1

get my voice back at least a little bit. I've done a good job. It's mostly back now. It just

0:44.8

sounds a little bit, you know. I knew that I needed to record this episode. So I was taking very

0:50.3

serious care of my throat and my voice for the last couple days. So I think it paid off and we're

0:54.6

here today. Thank God. I have liked to start these episodes with a bit of like a life update or

1:01.2

recap of what's been going on. And the only thing that I have to share really is that I just have

1:06.2

had a cold for the past week. So it's pretty boring. Oh, I spoke to you last the day of the Super Bowl,

1:12.6

and I almost, when I was editing that episode, I almost cut out the part about us playing the

1:18.8

Super Bowl because I edited it after, like the day after the Super Bowl, and we obviously lost.

1:24.1

So that was embarrassing. I have been, you know, recovering from that. I actually lost my voice

1:30.8

in the first place during the game because I was screaming so loud, like the first half and the

1:35.6

second half. It was so silent in my house. You could pretty much hear a pin drop. But I lost my

1:40.4

voice then and then I got a cold and I continued to lose my voice and then I completely lost my voice this weekend and now we're on the bend. What I'm drinking today is also pretty

1:48.9

boring. I haven't had caffeine in the last couple of days because I was looking up how to get your
