Hello, it's 107 days since Russia invaded Ukraine.

Yesterday we spoke about two British men, Aidan Aslan and Sean Pinner, who were handed

death sentences by a Russian proxy court in eastern Ukraine in Donetsk.

And on Russian TV, a panel discussed in a serious and heated debate how they thought

the men should be executed, or whether they should be kept alive and used as ransom

and exchanged with Britain in return for Russia's frozen assets.

This is a clip from a talk show broadcast by Russia's most popular TV station, state

run Russia 1, where panelists are discussing what should be done to the captives.

And it's very important because both Russians and Ukrainians know that none of this would

be happening without relentless propaganda pumped out by Russian state TV.

This is what they need to justify their invasion to try and win the hearts and minds of

the locals in Ukraine.

And since the invasion started in February, we've seen that Russian forces have been deploying

trucks with huge screens to broadcast Russian state TV to towns and cities they've captured.

And the Russian army has been sending military trucks with broadcast capabilities to pump

out this kind of propaganda message to both parts and their control and neighboring Ukrainian

controlled areas because they know they need to come up with a justification for their

war.
