Then I'm going to look at a little verse in Timothy.

I want to talk for a few minutes about an equation that I believe has the potential to change the course of life and relationships.

And I want to talk about this equation of life plus generosity equals freedom.

Life plus generosity equals freedom.

I turned 53 this past summer.

And so the older you get, sometimes you'll want to reflect.

And so I keep a journal.

I'm keeping a journal right now.

Every day I'm in my journal, writing things down,

reflecting, thinking about decisions and what do we do different and how do we become the family

that we need? How do I be a better husband? How do I sort through leading people and helping

to build the church and serving pastors? And you write down a list of adjustments you need in your

life and change that needs in your life. The other day I wrote down this list, which I think is a good practice.

What are the best decisions I've ever made in my life that are impacting my life today?

I wrote down three of them.

The first one was when I said yes to Jesus Christ.

So I was not raised in church.

I would have never showed up at church.
