Lily was a very lucky girl.

She lived in a nice little home at the end of a quiet street in the

prettiest town in the world, Monarch. The town gets its name from the millions upon millions of monarch butterflies that fly in from all over the world every spring and call this place home.

Why do they choose monarch of all places? Well you see

monarch doesn't have grass. The hills, the lawns, the pastures, every patch of land is completely covered in wildflowers and

monarch butterflies happen to love wildflowers. So every spring when the flowers are in full bloom and the cool

rain storms have swept over the land, the hills and yards glow with unimaginable color.

Before long, fluttering among that color

are beautiful orange and black butterflies.

Lily laid across her flowered front yard under the pine tree, resting her chin in her hands and staring down at her fairy garden.

She makes one every year to welcome the migration of butterflies and to give shelter to any fairies that may be passing through.

She was putting the finishing touches on her woodsy masterpiece and she could tell there was something missing.

Hmm, what should I add to my fairy garden?
