about today's guest Ryan Holiday. You might have heard about him or you might have seen

one of his videos on social media or you might have read one of his books or you may have

walked into his bookstore in Texas. Ryan Holiday is a best selling author, modern day

philosopher, bookstore owner in Austin, Texas. He's the author of a number of New York times

bestsellers, the daily stoic discipline is destiny, ego is enemy, obstacle is the way

you might be sensing a trend here. He has made a point of reviving what's called stoic

philosophy. This is a philosophy that was made famous by the ancient Greeks and Romans.

And he has figured out a way to translate it for our modern world in a way that is both

practical and helpful. It was a really informative and inspirational conversation we had recently.

We nerd out on history. We also go through how the ancient philosophers lived their lives

and how that can inform what we do. The conversation is very cool actually because I learned about

him first from my wife and he first learned about me from his wife. So I started following

him. He started following me on Instagram. We connected and that is what is led to this

conversation. Ryan Holiday is also I was a new book called The Daily Dad, which is available
