Summary

Of all the guests I’ve had on, these have been the moments that have impacted me most. I don’t often talk about the moments that I’ve found most personally moving, but I thought I’d share them with you today. I’ve selected six moments, from all the guests we’ve had on, that offer the most life-changing advice. If you’re new to this podcast, this is definitely the place to start. I found these moments the most meaningful, the most enlightening, and the most inspiring. From Elizabeth Day talking about the importance of failure, to Jamil Querishi talking about how you can find consistency, to Matthew Syed on building self-confidence and self-esteem. No matter who you are or where you are in your life, you’re sure to take something from this. We’ve all been on an incredible journey with this podcast, where we hear the stories, the challenges, the highs and lows, of the world's most successful people. These are the moments that have been truest to that vision. These aren’t necessarily the biggest names, but these snippets have meant most to me. I’m sure after listening to this, they’ll mean something special to you too. for a long time and something I've always wanted to do. This week we're going to

So without further ado, I'm Stephen Bartlett, and this is the diary of a CEO. I hope nobody's listening but if you

0:45.2

are then please keep this to yourself. We hear this phrase a lot which is find your passion. Yeah and I almost feel that it's it's in many respects quite harmful because it that question is kind of loaded it assumes a singular passion for a start it assumes that you can

1:10.6

Discover it like an Easter egg and then and also the the context in which that

1:15.9

question usually sits in it implies that once you find it then it's you know then

1:21.1

it's the it's a kind of unlimited like happiness and orientation forever and then that's yours and I just feel like sometimes

1:33.6

language can be harmful because it simplifies very complex things and sometimes

1:36.0

multifaceted, plural things, you know, so I wondered if that

1:39.6

phrase find your passion was something you felt similar about?

1:45.0

Yeah, I do.

1:46.0

I mean, yeah, it's true that passion can be a significant multiplier of human potential.

1:51.0

So, you know, people are passionate and engaged in a business they can direct

1:55.1

their energy in a worthwhile and meaningful manner. So it's worthwhile but you're right
