0:33.4	Today's scripture offers us a wiser way of being human as we step into the day.
0:42.0	Today's passage is Romans 8, verses 5 and 6.
0:45.7	It reminds us that peace isn't something that we force.
0:48.8	It's something that flows from the inner posture of our soul.
0:53.1	Those who live according to the flesh have their minds set on what the flesh desires.
0:58.3	But those who live in accordance with the spirit have their mind set on what the spirit
1:03.3	desires.
1:04.6	The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the spirit is life and peace.
1:11.3	I think it's so interesting how Paul begins Romans 8 in verse 1.
1:15.0	He begins not with instruction, but with assurance.
1:18.6	He says there is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.
1:24.3	And that verse matters because everything that follows rests on this foundation. If we miss it,
1:29.7	we misunderstand the entire passage. Because Romans 8 isn't really a warning. It's not a thread.
