Hey guys, it's Candice and we thought we would have it all figured out by the time we were in our 30s.

Surprise, we don't.

Nope. We don't. Well, we have some things figured out.

We just don't have everything figured out but we're slowly working on it.

One podcast episode at a time.

And today have I got a treat for you. I'm gonna be honest, this is more of a treat for me. I am freaking out.

I am a child of MTV. I watched so much MTV when I was a kid.

I watched every single music video making of the music videos.

I mean, this was like the 90s and the early otzes.

It was prime time for like MTV celebrity pop star rock star culture.

And a formative figure within that world was Sucin Pock.

And that's who we are speaking with today.

I'm freaking out. If you don't know who she is, then you're just a very young person.

And I'm having to realize I'm just a little older than maybe some of the youth that might be listening to this podcast.

Sucin Pock has spent more than two decades in the spotlight,

most notably during her tenure as an MTV news reporter in the early thousands.

Since leaving her MTV news correspondent job, Pock has reported on ABC, NBC, Discovery Networks, Oxygen, and E.

Most recently, she's become a co-host of the podcast Add to Cart and contributed the introduction to MTV Books,

my life growing up Asian and America.
