ready to listen to the Word of God and hear what the Spirit of God wants to apply to

your own heart as we dive back into the story of Lazarus in John chapter 11.

daily sponsor. Okay today John chapter 11 verses 21 through 27. Jesus has just arrived in the

town of Bethany where his friend Lazarus has passed away. Lazarus's sister Martha ran out to Jesus

and was having a conversation with him about this and she just said, Lord if you had been here,

my brother wouldn't have died but even now I believe you can ask God for anything and he will hear

you. In Jesus response to that in verse 23 by saying, your brother will rise again.

Martha said to him, I know that he will rise again in the resurrection on the last day.

Jesus said to her, I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die,

yet shall he live and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die. Do you believe

this? She said to him, yes Lord, I believe that you are the Christ, the Son of God who is coming

into the world. Now friends, this is a powerful passage of scripture because Jesus clarifies something

from Martha that I'm not sure she quite got here at the first hearing but as we ponder and
