I think I was accessing a part of my memory bank growing up in the San Fernando Valley,

where with a little bit of distance and maybe some years under your belt,

you look back at certain things that happened,

and you cannot believe thatctors Guild of America.

In today's episode, a couple of youngsters attempt to navigate the treacherous waters of first love,

and director Paul Thomas Anderson's coming-of-age comedic drama, Liquorice Pizza.

Set in the early 1970s, the film follows Gary, a 15-year-old aspiring entrepreneur,

who falls in love with Alana, a 25-year-old yearbook photographer's assistant,

as they embark on a most unlikely romance

in California's San Fernando Valley. In addition to licorice, Mr. Anderson's directorial credits

include the feature films, Phantom Thread, Inherent Vice, The Master, Boogie Nights, and the DGA
